Vancouver the next leg of the Journey

Well I have arrived in Vancouver.......Just over the jet lag and now I have discovered that they dont measure journeys in miles but hours.........I dont think I have ever driven as far in one go before.........However everything has its advantages and the scenery is just breathtaking. I have so far been to Pacific Institution which is the reception and assessment centre for the pacific region were I had a great tour of the facility and got answers to some burning questions. I moved on today to Ferndale which is a male open prison which if I could choose somewhere to work that would be it for the view alone but to force yourself out of bed to go to work there must be a real chore I dont think. This afternoon I went to Frazer Valley Institution which is the Female prison which was excellent and again very forward thinking. I was able to get a lot of questions answered at both and have been invited back to Ferndale next week which I hope to do. Tomorrow its off to Maple Ridge Community Corrections to see it all from the other side.
